Resources for Directors

 Gale Analytics for Community Data

Gale Analytics assists the library in blending internal data provided by the library (ILS, Computer Use, eBooks, etc.) with external data that Gale provides such as census information, ACS, and Experian lifestyle data. Your data stays in your hands and the resulting output is relayed in Tableau, an interactive dashboard that allows you to zoom in/out of maps, filter criteria, and export mailing lists. This insightful tool allows you to better understand your community’s (patrons and non-patrons) current library activity and how to effectively meet its needs through demographic insights and the Experian Mosaic Segmentation system.

SC Association for Public Library Administrators

SCAPLA has an active listserv for public library directors and regular meetings both online and in person.
