Looking for your next read?

We are excited to present the following selection of books added to our collection this month.

To check out the books, you will need a library card. These books are available through SCLENDS, a consortium of libraries throughout the state that share a single catalog allowing patrons to search for items in all of the libraries as easily as you search for items in your home library. Requesting items is as simple as clicking a button. Within a few days, any available circulating item can be delivered from any SCLENDS library across the state.

Join us at the next installment of the Speaker at the Center with Author Patricia Brandon where she will discuss her historical fiction novel, "Rise of the Pale Moon." Set against the backdrop of the Revolutionary War era in coastal South Carolina, Rise of the Pale Moon weaves a compelling tale of three young women from distinct backgrounds: an indentured servant from London, a chattel slave raised on the Montague Hall plantation, and a Catawba Indian captured by the Cherokee and traded into slavery.
