The South Carolina State Library has produced the SC250 Educational Activities Resource Guide, a guide for South Carolina educators to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States of America’s founding. Using documents from the South Carolina State Documents Depository’s Digital Collections, educators can engage their students in thoughtful activities, including George Washington’s travels through South Carolina in 1791, a look back at the celebration of the American Revolution Bicentennial, a comparison between South Carolina’s three earliest state constitutions, and a shocking proposal between South Carolina and Georgia. Activities are geared towards grades 3-12.
