The Notable State Documents Awards Program began in 1991 to recognize exemplary state publications and has since expanded to include state government websites, videos, and apps.

South Carolina State Library purchases new KASEMAKE CXD Machine

The State Library has purchased a new KASEMAKE CXD archival box making machine that will allow us to preserve library materials by producing customized archival boxes in-house for library items in the our collection.

The South Carolina Emergency Management Division (SCEMD), a division of the Office of the Adjutant General, leads the state's emergency management program by supporting local authorities in minimizing loss of life and property from all-hazard events.

The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) is the state agency responsible for protecting and managing the state’s natural and cultural resources, including fish and wildlife, plants, and special places. With over 1,000 employees across all 46 counties, SCDNR serves as the principal advocate and steward of South Carolina’s natural resources.

The South Carolina Department of Public Safety (SCDPS) includes the Highway Patrol, State Transport Police, Bureau of Protective Services, Office of Highway Safety and Justice Programs, and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Officers Hall of Fame and has approximately 1,300 employees.

The State Library will be supporting the South Carolina Confederate Relic Room and Military Museum's American Revolution Day. More American Revolution battles/skirmishes were fought in South Carolina than in any other state. Everyone has something to learn from the conflict that founded our country; the Relic Room’s full day of programs will offer something for everyone. Spend a day immersed in history and bring the youngsters!
