Make My Mark Bookmark Contest Winners

Our mailbox has never been so colorful. We appreciate the students who entered the Make My Mark summer bookmark contest. The tributes to their favorite stories took creativity and imagination to new heights. Our judges had a difficult time choosing the winners. Please join us for our next Speaker at the Center talk with the authors of South Carolina's Matilda Evans: A Medical Pioneer, Dr. Walter B. Curry, Jr., Beverly Aiken Muhammad, and Anusha Ghosh on Thursday, August 26 at 3:00 PM at the State Library. South Carolina Matilda Evans: A Medical Pioneer is the official biography of Dr. Matilda Evans, the first African American woman licensed to practice medicine in South Carolina.
