The Secretary of State’s Office received the 2023 Notable State Document Award from the South Carolina State Library for its website. Each year, the South Carolina State Library recognizes several government documents published by state agencies for their excellence and contribution to the understanding of government processes.

New December 2023 Electronic State Documents

South Carolina state agencies complete comprehensive self-assessments as part of state-required accountability and reporting mandates. These annual State Agency Accountability Reports, prepared for the Governor and General Assembly, provide an overview and snapshot of each agency’s performance.

New October 2023 Electronic State Publications

Agency newsletters are one category of state publications collected by SC State Library. Historically, state agency newsletters came out in print format, but today they are typically sent by email. SCSL has made it a practice to subscribe to and receive state agency e-newsletters.
