Mark your calendars! Friday, June 3, 2016 SC Scout will visit two Beaufort County Libraries to talk with children about being storm ready. SC Scout, the South Carolina Department of Insurance weather sentry, will offer a Storytime Blitz for children at the Beaufort County Downtown Library located at 311 Scott Street, Beaufort SC 29902 and also at the St. Helena Island Branch located at 6355 Jonathan Francis Senior Road, St Helena 29920. These are important events for parents and caregivers as well. While SC Scout and the children learn about the importance of being prepared for the upcoming Hurricane Season, parents are invited to speak with consumer analysts about their insurance policies and ask questions about their insurance coverage. Major Zeoli with the Beaufort County Sherriff’s Office and Emergency Management Office will be on hand to discuss with parents the importance of being prepared not only for hurricanes but for any natural disaster.
