The South Carolina State Library is pleased to announce the latest addition to its digitized collections. Published annually, the South Carolina Legislative Manual provides detailed information including photographs and biographies of officials in the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of South Carolina State Government; the South Carolina Congressional Delegation; and, State Officers.

Cooks + Books: Nurturing Children's Literature and Cooking
The State Library is excited to bring you a virtual demonstration program of Cooks + Books from Sticky Fingers Cooking on Thursday, April 8, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. This train-the-trainer model will show attendees how to hold a virtual program involving a chapter book and recipe preparation. The South Carolina State Library’s digital collections contain rare primary research materials such as Our Heroes: Patriotic Poems on Men, Women and Sayings of the Negro Race. This book of poetry focuses on influential African American men and women in the late 1800s written by George C. Rowe, an African American minister, newspaper publisher, and poet in Charleston, South Carolina.
