SC Academy of Authors Announces 2014 Fellowships

The South Carolina Academy of Authors is pleased to announce the opening of its 2014 poetry and fiction fellowships.

The Carrie McCray Nickens Poetry Fellowship was established in 2009 to support South Carolina poets who live in the state and who are actively pursuing their craft.

The Fiction Fellowship was established in 2010 to support the wealth of South Carolina writers of prose fiction whose excellent work is deserving of attention.

With its goal of nurturing new literary achievement, the fellowship program has helped to launch or further the careers of some of the state's emerging fiction and nonfiction writers, poets, and dramatists.

Fellowship winners will receive a $1,000 award. Please visit the South Carolina Academy of Authors website at www.scacademyofauthors.org for fellowship application rules and fees.
