Seeking an experienced library professional who is passionate about by leading a team of Branch Managers in serving the various communities of Lexington County. In addition to supervising and guiding the branch management team, this person will collaborate with the Deputy Director of Operations and the Library Leadership Team on policy, strategic planning, budgeting, collection development, analyzing services and operations.
Collaborates with the Library Leadership Team by analyzing and evaluating policies, services, collections, facilities, and staffing needs. Makes recommendations to the Team; develops and communicates related action plans.
Collaborates with Branch Managers on current and future services and programs that meet the needs of their community. Encourages them to take on new initiatives and to seek community partnerships that meet performance indicators established by Director and Library Board.
Fosters leadership skills in Branch Managers through coaching and guidance. Assists them in honing their skills and the skills of their team. Supports opportunities for growth and learning.
Initiates and manages new or special projects and services for the library system.
Advocates for the library system within the community.
Salary: $78,927 - 84,452
MLIS from an ALA accredited program and 7 years of public library management and/or administration.
Requires public speaking. Requires the ability to operate a motor vehicle and a valid SC Driver's License.
