Job Description

This twelve-month staff position works nights and weekends on a rotating basis.

Reference and Instruction Department - Job Duties

  • Planning and delivering the College’s library instruction program
  • Providing reference service at the Reference Desk during day, evening, and weekend hours on a rotating basis
  • Expanding skills by way of cross training within the library team
  • Participating in collection development • Assuming responsibility for the library during scheduled evenings, and weekends, including the supervision of student workers
  • Promoting library resources using LibGuides
  • Participating in shaping the future of Edens Library’s services and collections

Qualifications
  • ALA-accredited Masters in Library and Information Science
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Flexibility and interest in taking on new responsibilities in a fluid professional environment
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Experience with Springshare LibGuides is helpful
