State Library Talking Book Services Staff Recognized

The staff of the South Carolina State Library’s Talking Book Services will soon be recognized by Hardee’s of Columbia, for its dedication and support to the blind and visually impaired citizens of the state.

According to Hardee’s of Columbia Community Relations Director, Glenda Browder, “Recognizing organizations such as this is Hardee’s way of giving back to the community.”  Browder also stated that she was, “amazed with the student artwork hanging on the walls” on a recent visit to the Talking Book Services library located at 1430 Senate Street.

On Wednesday August 6, 2008, Hardee’s of Columbia General Manager, Georgia Williams will present the Talking Book Services Director, Pamela Davenport, with a check for $200.00 to help support the program. The Talking Book Services staff will be recognized with lunch at the new Hardee’s of Ballentine.
