The South Carolina House Government Efficiency and Legislative Oversight Committee (LOC) recently announced an online survey to gather input from citizens on eight state agencies. The survey is part of a routine study by the committee.

Speaker Murrell Smith and the South Carolina House of Representatives’ Government Efficiency and Legislative  oversight Committee are inviting the public to participate in an online survey to provide feedback on eight state  agencies currently under review. The agencies under study are the South Carolina Conservation Bank, Department of Employment and Workforce, Tuition Grants Commission, Department of Education, State Law Enforcement Division, Administrative Law Court, Department of Insurance, and Vocational Rehabilitation.

The survey is designed to gather input from South Carolina citizens on their experiences with these agencies, including any comments, concerns, or suggestions for improvement.

The general public is encouraged to complete the survey below.

Public Input Survey

The purpose of a legislative oversight study is to determine if agency laws and programs are being implemented and carried out in accordance with the intent of the General Assembly and whether or not they should be continued, curtailed, or eliminated. The Committee also recognizes that a legislative oversight study of an agency serves the purpose of informing the public about the agency. This survey will accept responses until March 3, 2025.
