South Carolina students in grades 4-12 were invited to participate in the ReadSC Writing Contest. Students participated by submitting writing in either (or both) categories - Letters and Poetry. Students entered each contest in one of three levels corresponding to their grade.
- Level I for children in grades 4-6
- Level II for grades 7&8
- Level III, grades 9–12
