Schedule

Projected work schedule: Monday – Friday (9:00a-5:30p) At least one evening per week and one Saturday every 4 weeks.

Salary

Salary is $20.52 per hour / $40,000 per year. Eligible for benefits.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Greenwood County Library is seeking qualified applicants for a Reference Librarian I. This is an entry-level librarian position.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Help customers find materials and/or information in the Library.
  • Help customers use the Library’s online databases and other resources.
  • Participate in the selection of reference and circulating nonfiction materials.
  • Participate in the selection of reference databases.
  • Teach technology skills in one-on-one setting.
Qualifications

Required

Master's degree in Library Science from an accredited college, or university. Excellent communication and technical skills. Ability to work with a diverse population.

Preferred

Experience in design software such as Canva and/or Adobe Acrobat. Necessary employment screenings and/or background checks will be performed.
