The Online Services Librarian oversees the library’s digital presence. This includes the library’s website/research guides, tutorials, videos, and virtual reference prioritizing student success with a focus on a high-quality student user experience. In addition, they work with the PASCAL consortium, SCC’s IT, and external vendors to coordinate the library services platforms and electronic resources. They also provide high-quality, student-centered library instruction and reference services, as well as working with SCC's IT to keep the library's equipment functioning.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Master's degree in Library or Information Science from an America Library Association (ALA) accredited university and related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrates ability to learn library technology platforms. Experience with Libguides, LibAnswers/Chat, Libwizard, ExLibris Alma/Primo. Knowledge of accessibility standards. Experience teaching library instruction classes and providing reference services in an academic library.
