Job Description

Responsible for the selection, management, and assessment of collections through purchase, subscription, donation, OER, or open access.
Responsible for original, complex, and copy cataloging of resources in all formats.
Collaborate with PASCAL, IT staff, and vendors to maintain and enhance library technology services, ensuring a seamless user experience.
Assist in the development and management of the library’s digital infrastructure, including the online catalog, databases, and digital repositories.
Provide leadership in solving problems associated with the delivery of digital library resources.
Maintain vendor relationships to negotiate pricing, order resources in a timely manner, and facilitate product trials.
Collaborate with librarians and faculty members on collection development policies and procedures for all formats of resources.
Manage electronic invoicing.
Collect and analyze data on the use of collections and services.
Provide training to library staff and student employees.
Provide information services to faculty, staff, and students.
Participate in professional development for the purpose of continuing education and contributing to the profession.
Actively demonstrate leadership by participating in professional responsibilities that serve the Thrift Library, Anderson University, the profession, and the community.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will hold a master’s degree in library and information science. Experience in an academic library is preferred. Knowledge of electronic resources, library technologies, automated library systems, Library of Congress Classification, and cataloging is required. The ability to work independently, learn and adapt to new technologies, prioritize multiple competing projects, manage complex workflows, and sustain a high level of attention to detail is essential.
