Oversee and perform all circulation duties including, but not limited to, checking items in and out, registering patrons, placing holds, collecting fines and fees, assisting with copier, print, and fax services.
Assist in recruiting, hiring, and training of personnel; resolve personnel issues; review and evaluate the work of front–line staff and volunteers.
Interpret and apply procedures, policies, administrative rules and regulations for library staff and customers.
Assist internal and external customers in person, over the telephone, or through electronic communication, respond to and resolve customer issues, concerns, and complaints.
Ensure the orderly and neat appearance of the circulation desk and general areas of the library.
Provide quality control checks on processing of new items.
Check new patron applications for accuracy and consistency.
Preparation of weekly deposits.
Monitor equipment and work area; coordinate purchases and/or repairs.
Assist patrons in using various resources and equipment of the library including card catalog, eBooks, databases, and Internet access computers.
Attend continuing education classes, meetings and/or workshops to maintain and enhance job knowledge and skills.
Two years experience in a library setting.
