Job Description

LIBRARY ADMINISTRATOR – PROGRAMS & EVENTS: Assists the Library Director in planning, directing, managing, and overseeing the activities and operations of the Beaufort County Library System. Must be customer-focused including knowledge of current technologies and social media. Assists the Library Director in coordinating, administering, and evaluating programs, projects, processes, procedures, systems, standards, or service offerings; coordinates activities between multiple service areas; and works to integrate and coordinate service areas.

SALARY: $55,211 to $70,720 annually / DOQ

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Master’s degree in Library or Information Science from an ALA accredited library program and five (5) years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Eligibility for South Carolina Public Library Certification

• Excellent customer service skills

• Knowledge of supervisory and budgetary principles

• Library policies, procedures and practices

• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
