Convenient to Columbia, Charleston, Sumter, and Florence – Clarendon County is a county with an active and vibrant community. The system currently operates with one facility and a bookmobile and, as a member of SCLENDS, has access to over 3 million items.
Ideal candidate is one who has an enthusiasm for service to children, their families, and educators and the energy level necessary to provide services both in the library and through community outreach. Great position for a librarian seeking flexibility and community support, as well as opportunities for professional collaboration and continuing education, to implement innovative programs and services that will enhance the lives of the children and young adults in Clarendon County. A Masters in Library and Information Science is required.
Hiring Salary Range: Compensation is commiserate with experience and starts at $45,985.00. Benefits package including health, sick leave, vacation time, and participation in SC Retirement System.
A Masters in Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited program is required.
A minimum of two-years experience working in an educational, childcare, or library setting is required.
Must have a valid South Carolina driver’s license and safe driving record and clear/passing Criminal Background Check.
