Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff, processing employee concerns and problems, directing work, counseling, disciplining, and completing employee performance appraisals.
Coordinates, assigns and reviews work and establishes work schedules; maintains standards; monitors status of work in progress; inspects completed work assignments; answers questions; gives advice and direction as needed.
Coordinates programming for children through planning, scheduling, delegation, partnerships, contract development and facilitation.
Collections development, request books, films, etc. from the Acquisitions department to support programs.
Completes training classes and attend professional development seminars, workshops and conferences to learn and maintain skills and knowledge for professional growth.
Works children's reference desk and answers research, informational, readers' advisory, and technology queries with a high degree of accuracy and provide excellent customer service.
Assists library patrons with computer use and library technology.
Records program statistics, compiles and submits monthly reports.
Plans and monitors unit budgets, reconciles cash receipts for the day and for bank deposits.
Researches and evaluates vendors for new or existing services, collections, and formats.
Monitors maintenance and upkeep of facility.
Performs related work as assigned.
Salary:
$71,635.00 - $85,962.00 Annually
Requires Master’s degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS).
Over two years and up to and including four years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.
