Let's Celebrate Art

Self Portrait by Aiyana M.

During the months of March and April each year, the South Carolina State Library Talking Book Services Department offers a fine arts creative outlet for blind and visually impaired students in our state. This year young artists submitted tactile pieces using ceramic, felt, cotton, paper, wood, metal, and more.

Pictured to the right is the 1st place winner for the 11-13 age group and our State Librarian Award Winner, "Self Portrait" by Aiyana M.

You can view this and other submissions in our library lobby as well as on the South Carolina Talking Book Services website.
