Military Appreciation Month Display

Military Appreciation Month is observed every May to honor the service and sacrifice of all military personnel, both current and former. The month serves as a symbol of unity and encourages citizens to reflect on the sacrifices made for freedom. The book selections displayed in this case are from the State Library’s A.S. Salley Rare Book Collection.

The State Library is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and closed on state holidays.

Selected books from the A.S. Salley Rare Book Collection are open in our glass display case with a framed Military Appreciation Month sign standing behind them.
