In his 28 years at York County, Lyon has seen numerous changes in libraries, including computer upgrades and Internet use. Growth also made a mark. New buildings have been built for every library in the county – Rock Hill, Clover, Fort Mill and York – with a new branch in Lake Wylie.
Former State Library director Jim Johnson is acting as a consultant with the York County Library Board of Trustees in a national search for a new director.  Applications will be accepted through Nov. 30.
