Biography
Chris Yates serves as Deputy Director of Library Resources and Services. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics from Wofford College and a Master's of Library and Information Science at the University of South Carolina in Columbia. He has worked as a librarian in academic, public, and special libraries and brings a wide variety of experience and knowledge to library services and programs. His emphasis on virtual services is part of the State Library’s strategy to bring the State Library’s resources to the user no matter where in the state they are located.
