National Library Week (April 4 - 10, 2021) is a time to celebrate our nation's libraries, library workers' contributions, and promote library use and support. The theme for National Library Week 2021 is Welcome to Your Library.
The Discus team spent the last several weeks packing more than 1,400 boxes to send to South Carolina schools. The packages are full of your favorite Discus swag including pencils, pens, sticky notes, microfiber cloths, and much more.
The South Carolina State Library is pleased to announce that Niche Academy training is now available to all public, academic, and school library staff members in South Carolina. Niche Academy helps libraries deliver “experiences of delight” for their customers. The Academy provides online tutorials that educate library staff members about library resources and how to use them.
This annual event, sponsored by the South Carolina Association of School Librarians and the South Carolina State Library, lets students show why kids who read succeed. Each year, a specific theme is selected by the planning committee.
