S.C. State Documents Depository Program

SC State DocumentsThe South Carolina State Documents Depository Program provides access to publications produced by state agencies and state-supported academic institutions.

The South Carolina Code of Laws 60-2-10 requires that these institutions provide the State Library with 15 copies of publications for dissemination to 11 depository libraries in South Carolina and the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. Items in the Documents Depository Program include print publications and “born digital” documents often originally published on agency websites.

The State Library now has over 12,000 historical and current state documents in the online State Document Depository, and we are adding more continuously.
