Learn more about Coyotes in South Carolina

Hearing odd howls in the night?  Are large carnivores darting across your lawn?  Is something strange lurking outside?  Laurens County has certainly changed over the years, and one of those changes is the increase in our coyote population.  The Laurens County Library has invited DNR Wildlife Biologist Jay Butfiloski to visit the library at 6:30 p.m.

Book lovers and bargain hunters are in for a real treat when the Charleston Friends of the Library host its 34th annual That BIG Book Sale, October 9-11, at the Omar Shrine Auditorium. Over 60,000 books, DVDs, CDs, books on CDs, sheet music and maps will be on sale to the public with prices starting at just $.50.

New faces are joining seasoned ones as two groups of volunteers commit their time and talents to the Richland Library Friends and Richland Library Foundation Boards.
