"Visions...A Series of Visits to (Almost) Everywhere!"

Produced "live on tape" and exclusively on-location throughout the world, Visions is an extraordinary peek at our planet as seen through the eyes of its world class guides and biographers. Visions host and fellow traveler is series producer/creator, Herb Malsman.

Formerly called "Perspective," Visions started in 1978 on InTouch Networks, New York City’s radio reading service for the print impaired. The program strove to paint a picture of New York City for its audience, making stops at JFK International Airport's Traffic Control Tower, the top of the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, and the "Green Room" of Saturday Night Live for a live dress rehearsal.

In the 1980’s, Visions moved to commercial radio, and in 1994, it turned international, with stops in London, Honduras, the Amazon, Iceland, Luxembourg, Morocco, Trinidad-Tobago, the Falkland Islands, and the Antarctic. Visions was now: "Visions...A Series of Visits to (Almost) Everywhere!"

In the late 1990’s, Visions became the most popular stop in broadcast.com’s Audio Book section. At its peak, Visions was airing seventy-seven programs twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

In 1999, Visions was chosen by the Library of Congress, National Library Service for the Blind & Physically Handicapped, for its foreign exchange program, and it remains there today. The series is being offered by donation to Talking Book libraries throughout the United States.
