Richland County Public Library Foundation Elects Officers

The Richland County Public Library Foundation has elected officers for the 2011-12 year.

W. Bert Brannon, the managing shareholder of Moses & Brackett, P.C., has been elected chair. Brannon, who previously served as vice chair of the Foundation, also served on the board of directors for the Downtown Columbia Sertoma Club, is a past chairman of the Columbia Tax Study Group and past president of the Columbia Estate Planning Council.


Lee E. Rambo, a children's book author and independent editing consultant, has been elected vice chair. She previously served as secretary/treasurer of the Foundation. Rambo actively volunteers and holds leadership roles in church, school and community groups. She is a former board member and vice president of the Friends of RCPL.

David Campbell, president and chief operating officer of Chernoff Newman, has been elected secretary/treasurer. Campbell was appointed to the library's board of trustees by County Council, serving from 2001-2010 and also as treasurer during that time. An active member of the community, he also served as the secretary of the Friends of RCPL and held leadership roles with the March of Dimes; Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce; South Carolina National Kidney Foundation; South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs; Historic Columbia Foundation; and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Other board members include: Gail Anastasion, John Baker, William "Buddy" Bateman, Adam Davis, Robert E. "Bob" Gahagan, Barbara Griffin, Mary Anne Jacobs, Wendi Nance, John Nichols, Lenora "Nonie" Price, R. Neal Reynolds, M.D., Christine Wells and John C. Bradley Jr., the Friends of RCPL Representative.
