CBC 488 Deep in the Heart: A Memoir of Loving and Longing by Sheila Morris

Chris Yates and Sheila Morris

"Deep in the Heart is a rich tale of what it was like to grow up behind the Pine Curtain of East Texas... This is a story of "answers unspoken to questions unasked." But more than that, it's the author's elegy for the idea of family that grounds our hopes of home and happiness even when our lives take us further and further away." Ed Madden, Founder and Producer, Rainbow Radio.

Sheila Morris has lived in Columbia, South Carolina for over thirty years. A native of rural Grimes County, Texas, she is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and spent four decades working as a CPA, stockbroker, and financial advisor. As she enters this stage of her life, she wants to spend time with words.
