Charleston and Georgetown libraries received more notice recently. Their joint program - South Carolina's REACH 2010 was recognized in the July/August 06 issue of "Computers in Libraries".
REACH 2010 received the national 2006 NCLIS Health Information Award for Libraries (May 2006). The award consists of a plaque and $20,000 for the winner to continue and expand its programs. South Carolina was selected over 9 other statewide finalists. The project is organized and managed by the Charleston and Georgetown Diabetes Coalition's Library Partnership.
