New June 2021 State Documents

The June 2021 list of new South Carolina state documents is available. Scaling the list to feature just one publication proved difficult, with so many informative, colorful, and creative documents available. The intrigue of the alligator on the cover of the South Carolina Alligator Hunting Guide for 2021 from the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources lured us in to discover details on alligator history, habitats, hunting requirements, tips, and checklists. The guide explains what to do post-harvest and contains consumption guidelines.

The South Carolina Digital State Documents Depository provides access to state agencies' publications. These publications provide citizens with crucial information about state government, including statistics, annual accountability reports, and data on a wide variety of topics related to the state.

Author Patricia Brandon and "Rise of the Pale Moon"

February 11, 2026, 5:30 PM

Join us at the next installment of the Speaker at the Center with Author Patricia Brandon where she will discuss her historical fiction novel, "Rise of the Pale Moon." Set against the backdrop of the Revolutionary War era in coastal South Carolina, Rise of the Pale Moon weaves a compelling tale of three young women from distinct backgrounds: an indentured servant from London, a chattel slave raised on the Montague Hall plantation, and a Catawba Indian captured by the Cherokee and traded into slavery.
