Friends of Richland County Public Library Announces 2011-2012 Officers, Board Members

The Friends of the Richland County Public Library announces its officers and board members for 2011-2012.

Tracy A. Haisley, a communications manager with Colonial Life, was elected president. Haisley, who is currently serving her fourth term on the board, has been an active volunteer at Friends' book sales, including serving as chairperson of the Book Sale Committee. She previously served as president in 2009.

Shannon Bobertz, a partner with Turner, Padget, Graham & Laney, P.A., was elected vice president. A Friends' board member since 2009, she is an active member of the South Carolina Bar and the Richland County Bar Association. She was also appointed as a Bar Examiner by the South Carolina Supreme Court.

Gill Gignilliat was elected secretary. A Friends' board member since 2009, she is a key account manager in the Clinical Quality and Health Management department of BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina. Gignilliat is a member of Junior League of Columbia and volunteers with March of Dimes and Family Connection.

Mary League, a shareholder with Ellis, Lawhorne & Sims, P.A., was elected treasurer. League has served on the Friends' board since 2009 and is an active member of the South Carolina Bar, the Richland County Bar Association and the South Carolina Workers' Compensation Educational Association. She has served as vice president and recording secretary for the Shandon Neighborhood Council and is a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Board members are: Christina "Tina" W. Auman; Robin Blume; John C. Bradley Jr.; Janice W. Brown; Joseph D. Clark; Michelle J. Clark; Aubrey Dillard; Keith Gardner; Stacey D. Haynes; Chris Koon; Andrea Lance; Jonathan "J.P." Lee; Helen Madden; Melina Mann; Sarah Martin; Susan Mazur; Chakisse Newton; Jennifer Robinson; Rachel Snowden; and Jess Torres. Kirby Shealy serves as the representative from the Library's Board of Trustees.
