Braille Reading Pals, a non-competitive Braille readiness program for blind infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and older students with reading delays, begins November 1 and runs through December 31.

The goal of this program is to expose low vision and blind readers and their families to Braille, and to encourage the family to read together a minimum of fifteen minutes a day. Registered Braille Reading Pal participants will receive a reading journal, a print-Braille children’s book, a Beanie Baby Reading Pal, and more. Each participant will also receive a certification of completion and a prize that parents and children can share together. To register and for more information, please visit the National Federation of the Blind’s website.
