Friends of Lamar Library to host "Art in the Park" |

The Friends of the Lamar Library are hosting their second annual "Art in the Park" celebration on Sunday, April 13, 2008, from 3:00 – 6:00 pm at the Lamar Library Park.
This year’s professional talent is a fantastic performing arts group called “Poetry Alive”. Other local and professional artists will be showcased in both the visual and performing arts. Various types of crafts from oil painting, fiber arts, wood carving and ceramics will be on display. Craftsmen range in age from children to adult. Selected art pieces will remain on display throughout the month of April. Included with the "Art in the Park" will be the Friends of the Lamar Library Book Sale. The cultural and artistic components of this project or program are funded in part by the Black Creek Arts Council of Darlington County, which receives funds from the South Carolina Arts Commission, the John and Susan Bennett Memorial Arts Fund of the Coastal Community Foundation of SC, and the National Endowment for theArts.
