DEPARTMENT:  Library
HOURS:  Monday-Thursday – 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm
LOCATION:  Airport Campus
Hiring Range: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour. Eligible for health insurance benefits and participation in the State Retirement System.

As a Library Technical Assistant, you will effectively manage library materials, collaborate with your colleagues to develop programs and services that promote student success, and provide valuable assistance to students. 

Job Duties:
•    Serve as a friendly and knowledgeable point of contact, addressing directional and informational inquiries about the MTC Library, its services, and available materials. 
•    Provide prompt and accurate assistance to enhance the library experience for all patrons. 
•    Oversee and troubleshoot student computing, printing, and related tools. Offer guidance and support to students in utilizing these resources effectively. 
•    Utilize your expertise in library resources to effectively guide students towards relevant materials, both in print and electronic formats. Assist them in accessing the information they need for their academic pursuits. 
•    Be responsible for library operations, including opening and closing procedures. 
•    Monitor and manage study room reservations, perform clerical tasks, and ensure the organization and upkeep of physical library materials through shelving, shifting, and shelf reading.
•    Be adaptable and willing to take on other duties as required to contribute to the overall success and functionality of the library.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  A high school diploma and experience in library, clerical or customer service related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Associate's degree with two (2) years experience in library work, or a high school diploma and four (4) years experience in a library, clerical, or customer service related field.
