The Anderson County Library is seeking a motivated and experienced leader for the position of Director of the Anderson County Library System. Working under immediate direction and supervision of the Board of Trustees of the Library System, the Director ensures proper and effective operation of the Library by direct supervision of the Library Department Heads and staff. The Library Director plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and administers all activities and programs of the library system and fosters excellent relationships both within the Library and in the community. The Director also acts as a liaison between the Library System and Anderson County administration.
Salary
$84,000-$95,000

The successful candidate will bring:
- At least 5 years of progressive supervisory experience in each of at least two professional library disciplines/departments along with a demonstrated history of successful performance in both goal achievement and leadership.
- A demonstrated history of self-direction and the ability to work with minimal direct supervision in addition to the ability to develop and deploy patron and staff focused initiatives.
- Must possess a Master’s degree in library or information science from an ALA accredited university.
