Job Description
Under minimal supervision by the Branch Manager and in coordination with the Youth Services Coordinator, plans, implements and manages a comprehensive program of library service to children, their caregivers and teens. Provides support to those working with children and teens; monitors the quality and effectiveness of existing programs and practices; trains, supervises, schedules and evaluates children’s services staff. Works evenings and weekends as needed. $49,377 annually.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA accredited program
- Three (3) years public service experience in a public library with relevant coursework
- Previous management/supervisory experience strongly preferred
- Eligibility for South Carolina Public Library Certification Valid driver’s license
