Job Description: 

Anderson County Library is seeking an experienced professional for the position of Information Technologist.

Reporting to the Head of IT, this position administers the day to day IT and telecom operations of the Library System. 

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Maintains current and future network hardware including CISCO routers, fiber switches, media converters, wireless access points and routers, and additional switches and hubs.

Software support includes Microsoft Directory, DNS, DCHP, Backup Exec Antivirus and various databases.

Installs and maintains software including Microsoft Office, Tight VNK, Antivirus and various web plug-ins. VMware, Microsoft 365. 

Provides ongoing Help Desk support for staff and patrons.    

Availability nights/weekends as needed for system maintenance. 

Batch/Powershell scripting experience preferred.

Salary is $40,000 annually plus benefits.

Qualifications: 

Minimum Qualifications/Skills: 

Undergraduate degree in computer science or related field from an accredited university; and

Two (2) years of previous experience working with computer networks or other computer support services preferred. 

Valid driver’s license.
