The South Carolina State Library provides interlibrary loan services to supplement the local resources of South Carolina libraries. General and special collections have been developed at the State Library primarily to support the needs of public libraries throughout the state. Materials are loaned to public, academic, special and high school libraries in South Carolina, as well as to libraries outside the state. Libraries may submit interlibrary loan requests to the State Library through SC LENDS, our online catalog. Interlibrary loan materials are delivered to most South Carolina public libraries and state-supported academic libraries by Interagency Mail Service.

Placing ILL Requests

In SC LENDS, the "Place Hold" link appears on the right side of the title display page. When you click on the link, you will be asked for your library card barcode and password.

Please remember, before starting your search in SC LENDS to click on this link "Choose a library to search" and select SC State Library.
