  What is SchoolRooms?


SchoolRooms is a new K-12 online multimedia discovery place for South Carolina students!


SchoolRooms provides resources, built around school curriculum, to assist students with homework and school projects.Search your county library’s catalog, educational websites, and selected DISCUS databases all at once. There is also a special room just for educators with great resources on management, technology, lesson plans, assessment, and more!

The South Carolina State Library’s SchoolRooms initiative aims to provide K-12 students, parents, and librarians with an online dynamic learning experience.  With SchoolRooms, students will be able to connect with authoritative, appropriate, standards-based resources designed to engage students as they achieve their learning objectives.  

SchoolRooms also focuses on parents and librarians with homework help, professional developments tools, and personal development resources. SchoolRooms can also help parents play a bigger role in helping their children learn and succeed in school.

How can you use SchoolRooms to find information that supports a South Carolina academic standard?    Teachers can use these resources for lesson plans and classroom activities, and students can find information to complete projects, reinforce learning, and obtain study materials.  This monthly feature will provide you with easy tips on how to find resources for a particular subject.

How do I get to SchoolRooms?

 

To get to SchoolRooms, just go to http://scsl.schoolrooms.net.  If you are at a public school or county library, you can start exploring now! Otherwise, you can sign up at the top-right of the page to get your very own SchoolRooms User ID.  If you need help, ask your librarian or contact us.
