- A free, online curriculum in outcomes-based planning and evaluation (OBPE), designed for library professionals and others. Teaches the concepts and vocabulary of outcomes-based planning and evaluation in project design.
- The School of Library and Information Science (SLIS) at the University of South Carolina is a part of the College of Mass Communications and Information Studies. The Panning for Gold Series offers continuing education opportunities for library staff and students.

- An online community for library staff. This site includes a large catalog of library related self-paced learning courses, featured live courses and course of the month. Many are free and few have a nominal fee.
Free Online Library Tutorials and Training Resources
- This site contains a complilation of tutorials and resources that cover a variety of library topics and are a good way to supplement your library skills. Stephanie Gerding, author of The Accidental Technology Trainer: A Guide for Libraries, maintains this site so check back often for new tutorials and training guides.

- The State Library is sponsors seats in the LE@D distance education courses. Public library staff and trustees are able to participate. Please limit the number of classes for your library system to 5 per month.
