During February and March the Library received some interesting and colorful documents.  Here are some of the highlights:

We received several catalogs, magazines, and brochures from our state colleges and universities this month.  Many of these have color photographs highlighting the assets of our schools and include facts and statistics that would be of interest to prospective students.  We also received the Governor’s Executive Budget and the detailed Budget of the General Fund, Transportation, Education Improvement Act, and Education Lottery Revenues for 2008/2009.  Other interesting state agency publications include:

The State Library has received updated salary information for state employees earning $30,000 and more.  The December 31, 2007 printout, supplied by the Office of Human Resources, is available for use in the Library only.  Ask for it at the Information Desk, 1500 Senate Street, Columbia, during our normal hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Several interesting documents were received in the State Library during December.  An especially beautiful volume from the Library of Congress.

Reports of the Certified Public Manager (CPM) program are now available in electronic format.

Bring your bag lunch to the State Library on Thursday, December 6 and enjoy an interesting hour with author and history professor, Robert K. Ackerman as he discusses his book, Wade Hampton III.
