State Library Closed Thursday May 7 and Monday May 11

The South Carolina State Library will be closed Thursday May 7 for staff development and staff appreciation day and will reopen Friday May 8.  We will also be closed Monday May 11 for Confederate Memorial Day and will reopen Tuesday May 12.
 
USC School of Library and Information Science Receives High Marks

The USC School of Library and Information Science recently received high marks for their program in the U.S. News & World Report “America’s Best Colleges Guide” for 2009.  The University ranked No. 2 for its program in school-library media.

Human Swine Flu Information

Looking for accurate and current information about Swine Flu? Globally, WHO (World Health Organization) is coordinating both information dissemination and measures to contain and treat the disease.  Nationally, CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) will be collecting data through state health departments.
